The Northern Point Room accommodates up to 250 guests standing or 120 seated. Effective acoustics with internal Bose speakers and a range of built in audio-visual equipment.

The Southern Point Room is an intimate space accommodating up to 110 guests standing or 40 seated. Featuring custom designed bar and hand cut glass chandelier.

Catering for cocktail parties, private functions, sit down lunches or dinners from 20 guests or more, you can be assured of a beautiful event to mark your special occasion. Please note, minimum spends apply for all private events. Whether it be to celebrate an engagement, milestone anniversary, birthday or christening your Eureka 89 event coordinator will assist with the planning of all details to ensure your memorable occasion is a huge success.


Eureka 89 also offers a degustation dining experience, with glorious views through floor to ceiling windows. With seating for tables of 2 through to larger groups of up to 24, dining at Eureka 89 is available Tuesday through to Saturday from 6pm and also Sunday lunch, featuring a 5 or 7 course degustation menu.

Frequently Asked Questions

We do not charge a room hire fee provided a minimum spend can be met on food and beverages.

The minimum spends vary depending on day of the week and month of the year. Should this minimum spend not be achieved, the shortfall will be charged as room hire.

All other costs including security, AV and external suppliers are in addition to the minimum spend amount.

Please note that your final event cost will total a higher amount than the minimum spend amount
We provide the following for the room:
- Cocktail furniture
- Tables, chairs, place settings and black linen
- Oil lanterns
- Exclusive red carpet entrance and directional signage
- PA system for background music
- Hand held microphone
Another cost to take into account is for security, which is charged at a flat rate per hour including half an hour before and after your event.

This charge is a requirement for our venue due to the size of the building, and also includes a host at the ground floor, level 88 and a cloakroom attendant for your guests.
Whilst we encourage you to use our preferred suppliers, due to their knowledge of our venue, you are more than welcome to arrange your own decorations and entertainment.

Photo booths are welcome however we do recommend that you hire an all enclosed booth as the open or freestanding set ups reflect heavily on the glass impacting the ambience in the room
We provide 2 hours complimentary prior to your event start time to set up for your event, this also includes all supplier bump in and access. Clients must provide all supplier details to your event manager to lease directly for appropriate bump in / out and loading dock times.
The Eureka 89 entrance is located on the east side of Eureka Tower near the palm trees at ground floor level. Please enter via the red carpet.
Situated in Southbank set back from Melbourne's Yarra River, Eureka 89 is an easy walk from the CBD, Federation Square or Crown Casino. Flinders Street train station is an approximate 5 minute walk from Eureka 89.
There are also numerous tram and bus routes which drop near to the Southbank area.
The Eureka Tower Wilson Car Park is accessible from the corner of City Road and Southgate Avenue.

Preferred Eureka Level 89 visitor rates apply when exiting before 6am the following day.

*Discounted parking only available in the Eureka Tower Wilson Carpark for Eureka 89 guests, clients and suppliers.

To note: The car park located in the tower is owned by Wilson Parking and not Eureka 89. If you wish to book a bay please contact Wilson directly.
There is a taxi rank on Riverside Quay adjacent to Eureka Tower.
Bus / large vehicle pick up and drop off points are located on both Riverside Quay and City Road. Your guests will have direct access to the Eureka 89 entrance from both areas.
